A Walk In The Park
This is a short film by my friend Erik Hutson entitled "A Walk In The Park." I helped out on the post-production end, including scoring the film, sound editing, opening title design and editing suggestions. Shot over two days in the Smoky Mountains, "A Walk In The Park" was an entry into the 2009 Secret City Film Festival's 7-Day Shootout. The thriller was written and directed by Erik Hutson and shot in high definition.

Non Returning Status: Natti Love Joys
Non Returning Status is a project that began as a photo journal by George Washington Rogers, IV documenting the life and spiritual philosophies of the Natti Love Joys, a reggae band living in the mountains of East Tennessee. The project has since developed into a complete multimedia experience, including over one thousand photographs taken over the course of three years, a series of videos documenting the lifestyle and spirituality of the band, and music by the Natti Love Joys themselves. Please check out the official website for more information.

Artist Statement
Personal expression is a vital part of human existence. To some, this is art at its purest and the most beautiful example of freedom that exists in society. To others, this type of individuality is the darkest form of evil that exists; a personal expression that must be suppressed and censored at all costs. The purpose of my work is to challenge peoples beliefs, the notions of their identities, who they are, why they exist, and the purposes they serve in their lives. I do not believe in boundaries, nor do I believe in simple answers to complex questions.
People are afraid of what they do not understand.
I aim to challenge those fears.
What else is the point of being an artist?
